Welcome to the groupfilm wiki. This will act as the collaborative centre for pre-production of the film. I plan to create an online community in order to develop an open source short film. The film will involve various contributors – ideally from different parts of the world. Each contributor will be able to contribute towards the writing and production of a short film. The intension is that I will give the community a short story outline that each of the contributors is able to edit to suit their needs. The contributors and I will then create some of the elements of the film using actors that are available to them (this might even be themselves). The production will be shot using low-tech equipment including: webcams, mobile phone cameras etc. All the footage will be made available to all of the community members for their own reference. I will use the footage to create my own version of the short film.
